Seeing with the eyes of an artist

Tom Dwyer
Most landscape photographers start out really excited when they bring home colorful sunset or sunrise images. They feel satisfied when they first master the ability to feather stream water or successfully stitch a panorama, or composite an HDR. Whether this takes months or years to achieve, eventually many will want more of their images as they become more experienced.

This presentation, originally developed for the New York City Sierra Club Photo Club asks the question
“What is photographic art?” and then explores what it takes to create artful or expressive photographs. The answer is not in more photo gear or achieved through additional gadgetry. Illustrated by his own artful images, Tom explores what it takes to “See with the eyes of an artist”.
