Building a Backyard Oasis to improve your bird photography

David Akoubian is a professional nature photographer, and Tamron Image Master, that lives in the mountains of Georgia. A project that David and his wife started several years ago was to restore their property to a more natural setting. They removed as many non-native species of plants and eliminated the use of chemicals in their yard. A bonus was the number of bird species that started returning to the property as well. Recognizing the potential for capturing bird images David constructed a “studio” in their backyard.

David will talk about and show how he is able to photograph over 75 species of birds, including over 25 species of Warblers, from his back porch. David will discuss the settings he uses for his photography as well.
