Organization
On May 8, 1954 representatives from nine West Michigan camera clubs met at the Scott Art and Garden Center in Lansing to consider forming an organization that would combine their talents and resources about photography. From that meeting grew the Southwestern Michigan Council of Camera Clubs. 57 years later and we've moved into the digital age. Read more in the links on this page.Our Mission
- As a council of camera club, SWMCCC sponsors our Spring and Fall Photography Competition and conferences which are hosted by member clubs.
- SWMCCC hosts our Summer Weekend of Photography and Digital Imaging in July at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Over 200 photographers enjoy many programs for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels of photography.
