SWMCCC 2009 FALL PRINT AND DIGITAL COMPETITION

The SWMCCC 2009 fall competition will be held and judged at the West Side School in Grand Rapids on October 24th and is open to any SWMCCC members wishing to attend.

SWMCCC members desiring to submit prints are required to bring the prints to the judging and pick them up after the judging. Each club may wish to have a member of their club attend the judging to bring and return prints.

An entry form will be needed for each print submitted and will be available for download at the SWMCCC web site.

Print entries should be brought to the judging around 9:00 am and the judging will begin around 10:00 am.

A 1st Place plaque will be given in each category

The categories are Portrait, Open, Nature and Creative

Entry fees are $1.00 per image and you may enter up to four images in each category.
You could enter a maximum of 16 Digital Images and a maximum of 16 Prints. Some members belong to multiple clubs and are allowed to submit through multiple clubs if they choose to do so.

An “Oscar Award” is given to any submitter who receives 4 honors in any of the individual categories.

Entry titles will not be read in order to speed up the length of the overall judging process.

Digital entries should be sized 1024 pixels wide for horizontal images and 768 pixels high for vertical images.

Submissions will be accepted via email or they can be put on a CD and mailed.

All digital submission must be received by October 18th and submission fees must be received prior to the judging.

Images should be titled using the following criteria and sent as jpg files.
The file name should contain the category, the title and the maker’s name. 

Category codes are: P - Portrait O - Open N - Nature and C - Creative
